Stock Vehicle Requirements

You must have at least one frame mounted recovery point in the front and the rear of the 4x4.  Factory tow hooks on most 4x4’s is sufficient.  A trailer hitch is not a proper recovery point.  All terrain and mud terrain tires with at least 3/32in. tread depth.  Street tires are not acceptable due to the weak sidewalls.  A full-size spare tire should match your other tires.  Mechanical failures, body damage, flat tires, scratches from trees, rocks and other obstacles are always a possibly on the trails.  It is always best to be aware that these things can happen to even the most experienced drivers on the trails.  Your vehicle should be in good working condition with all maintenance up to date. When you plan an adventure, it is not a good idea to use an adventure trip as a test trip from new upgrades or modifications.  When you modify your 4x4 it is best to hit trails close to home and be prepared that something might go wrong.
